Overview Join our team as a Groundsman at a Tree Service and become a vital part of maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes! In this role, you will support arborists by preparing work sites, assisting with tree care operations, and ensuring safety and efficiency on every project. Duties Assist with the setup and operation of equipment such as bucket trucks, chainsaws, and rigging tools to facilitate safe tree care activities Support arborists during tree trimming, pruning, and removal projects by handling tools, securing rigging lines, and managing debris cleanup Assist with tree pruning care to promote growth and safety Prepare work sites by clearing obstacles, laying out safety barriers, and ensuring all tools are maintained and ready for use Support maintenance tasks including lgeneral site cleanup to uphold aesthetic standards Operate bucket trucks / skid steer safely under supervision for elevated work tasks while adhering to safety protocols Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for team members Skills Basic understanding of tree care practices including tree trimming, pruning, stump grinding Experience with bucket operation and rigging techniques for safe elevated work Ability to operate chainsaws safely and perform minor maintenance as needed Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in tree service operations This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in arboriculture while contributing to the health and beauty of outdoor environments.
