Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Lead Crew Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of various landscaping techniques. The role involves overseeing and participating in day-to-day landscaping tasks, including landscape maintenance, gardening, irrigation system setup and repair, and assisting with landscape design projects. Responsibilities also include supervising crew members, ensuring project timelines are met, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. Must have a driver's license. Responsibilities Perform lawn care activities including mowing, fertilizing, and aerating. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, and mulching. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects. Assist in hardscape installations including patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Provide tree care services including trimming, pruning, and removal as necessary. Utilize mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Engage in snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties. Collaborate with team members on larger construction projects as needed. Ensure all work areas are clean and organized at the end of each day. Experience Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train team members Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Capability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment Dedication to safety and attention to detail Previous landscaping or horticulture experience is preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required Knowledge of operating excavators and other heavy machinery is a plus. Experience with tree trimming, snow plowing, and hardscape installation is advantageous. A strong understanding of plant care, irrigation systems, and general maintenance practices is essential.
