Job Description
Groundskeeper - Part Time Deep Run $24 per hour $24 per hour Overview Groundskeepers are responsible for a range of landscaping, grounds maintenance, and (where applicable) snow removal duties. They routinely mow lawns, weed, plant flowers, plow snow, and remove debris to ensure community grounds are clean, well maintained, and visually presentable. They also support a positive resident experience by delivering courteous, responsive customer service Job Duties Ensures community is presentable at all times and adheres to Sun's curb appeal standards (Essential) Maintains community vehicle and equipment (Essential) Picks up trash/debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empties common area trash containers as needed (Essential) Inspects irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repairs as needed (Essential) Regularly treats weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/wood chips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut down and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions. Performs other lawn care services as needed (Essential) If applicable, maintains community pool(s) by testing chemical levels and adjusting appropriately Follows safety procedures while performing duties Reports all community maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties, to the manager Other duties and special projects as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or GED (Required) 6 months in previous groundskeeping experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry (Preferred) 6 months in demonstrated knowledge and experience in general grounds maintenance techniques (Required) Ability to endure fluctuations in temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours. Ability to work an on-call schedule Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet Must have a valid driver's license Ability to work well independently as well as on a team Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
