Duties Operate hand tools and power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, mowers, and excavators to perform landscape maintenance tasks efficiently and safely. Assist with mowing, edging, pruning, planting, watering, and fertilizing to promote healthy plant growth and landscape aesthetics. Support irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens. Conduct landscape cleanup activities including debris removal, leaf blowing, snow plowing during winter months, and hardscape maintenance. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to assist with plant health assessments and pest management strategies. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling equipment and chemicals such as pesticides; maintain a safe work environment at all times. Support tree care activities including trimming, planting, and removal to enhance safety and landscape beauty. Assist with grounds maintenance tasks such as ground leveling, soil preparation, and installing mulch or gravel pathways. Experience Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with landscaping activities is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm for outdoor environments! Basic mechanical knowledge or experience operating grounds maintenance equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and pest management practices is a plus. Experience with irrigation systems installation or repair enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently is essential for success in this role. Comfortable working in various weather conditions with outdoor work requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.
