Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities include maintaining the grounds on the campusRESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain grass, shrubbery, flower beds and trees through cutting, pruning, planting, fertilizing and spraying Pick up grounds and empties trash bullets Recycle all appropriate materials and deliver to recycle stations Responsible for all maintenance and upkeep of all equipment related to grounds Completes special projects as assigned Other responsibilities as assigned by theCrew Coordinator, Assistant Director, or Assistant Vice President DUTIES:
Mows, fertilizes and waters lawns, shrubs and trees and spreads mulch as required Weeds, prunes, trims and generally maintains gardens/flower beds, shrubs and trees Plant and maintain flower beds General removal of debris from grounds and empties trash bullets as needed Cleans sidewalks, entrances, courtyards and driveways using brooms and shovels Assists in repairs of sidewalks, fences, signs, parking lots and driveways, patch potholes Repairs and maintains grounds equipment such as pick-up truck and plow, tractors and accessories ?mower deck, leaf vacuum, snow thrower, bucket loader and trailers Maintains the pond(s) by filling and emptying, chlorinating and maintaining filtration system Snow removal using shovels and/or equipment as assigned: on-call 24 hours. Operates snow blower, tractor for blowing, bucket loader and truck mounted salter and sander Performs all work assigned in accordance with applicable safety precautions/procedures Communicate with Public Safety and Staff via 2-way radio communication Receive, complete, and submit all work order processing documentation accurately and on time All other general maintenance duties as assigned The estimated wage is $21.98 per hour for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks. There are two available spots for this position.Requirements:
Must have knowledge of materials and equipment related to grounds Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 51 lbs without assistance Must be able to work from heights, including mechanical lifting devices Must be able to read/follow instructions/safety rules, write sentences, and communicate verbally Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, crouch, sit, kneel, climb and crawl Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Must be available for emergency call-insAdditional Information:
