Duties Operate a variety of groundskeeping and landscaping equipment including mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and management to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas. Identify plants and troubleshoot horticultural issues to support healthy plant growth and pest management strategies. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Maintain grounds by performing routine inspections, cleaning debris, repairing hardscape elements, and applying pesticides or fertilizers as needed. Support project setups for new landscaping installations or renovations by preparing sites and assisting with hardscape construction. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in groundskeeping, gardening, landscaping, or related fields is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential. Basic mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools is advantageous for efficient operation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, edging, planting, pruning, and lawn care techniques. Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, irrigation systems, pesticide management, and hardscape installation enhances your effectiveness in this role. Ability to follow safety procedures rigorously while operating equipment or handling chemicals ensures a secure work environment. Strong physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and working outdoors in various weather conditions is necessary for success in this position.
