Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Operate and maintain cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling procedures to prevent hazards and ensure environmental safety. Conduct routine groundskeeping tasks such as lawn mowing, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, removing debris, and maintaining outdoor pathways. Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks including residential painting, light plumbing fixes, and basic electrical work to keep facilities in excellent condition. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents and promote a secure environment. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using proper manual handling techniques to move furniture, supplies, or equipment efficiently without injury. Support custodial operations by replenishing supplies, managing inventory of cleaning materials, and ensuring all tools are in good working order. Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related inquiries promptly and courteously from staff or visitors. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools is essential. Knowledge of sanitation standards and chemical handling safety procedures is required to ensure safe operations. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices is necessary for handling supplies or equipment. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and maintenance activities is vital for maintaining a secure environment.
