I am looking for a hardworking Indoor Garden Maintenance Technician to help care for the plants and green spaces we maintain for our clients. I've built this business by staying hands-on with the quality of our work, and as we've grown, keeping up with regular plant care visits across all our client sites has become harder to manage on my own. I am looking for someone who takes pride in keeping plants healthy and spaces looking their best, while also being comfortable coordinating directly with clients about their space. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an eye for detail, and likes the idea of a flexible, part-time schedule. This position offers room to grow (if you want to). The right candidate could take on more client accounts, additional hours, or move into a more senior plant care or account management role over time. I am willing to train the right person. Experience with plants is valuable, but I am equally interested in finding someone dependable, attentive, and eager to learn proper care techniques. The Role This is a part-time, entry-level position with competitive pay and opportunities for advancement. Initially, you will learn: Our client accounts and the specific plants/spaces at each location Watering, pruning, and fertilizing schedules and techniques How to spot and treat common pests, disease, and plant stress Our service routes and scheduling system Client communication procedures Plant and supply record-keeping Primary Responsibilities Water, prune, and fertilize plants at client sites according to schedule Monitor plant health and treat pest, disease, or stress issues as needed Clean and maintain planters, pots, and surrounding areas Rotate, replace, or refresh plants and seasonal displays as needed Travel between client locations to complete scheduled visits Communicate with clients on-site about plant care and any concerns Keep accurate records of visits, plant condition, and supplies used Report larger issues (major plant decline, damaged fixtures) to the office Maintain a clean, professional appearance while working in client spaces Requirements Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to take direction and work independently once trained Comfortable working with soil, plants, and basic gardening tools Good communication skills, including brief conversations with clients Attention to detail and consistency across visits Reliable transportation to travel between client sites Ability to lift and carry plants and supplies Patience and a genuine interest in plant care The Ideal Candidate Has some experience with houseplants, gardening, or interior plantscaping Has worked in a client-facing or service-based role before Is comfortable managing their own schedule and route Is highly reliable and shows up consistently Has a valid driver's license Has a sense of humor Job Type Part-time Schedule Flexible, 15-20 hours per week Daytime hours, Monday through Friday Occasional weekends as needed Work Location In-person, traveling to client locations in
