  • ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID ASSOCIATE PARK SERVICE WORKERS
  • Major Responsibilities Under supervision, repair and install fences, sidewalks and playground equipment.
Mix and spread cement and concrete. Apply "cold patch" or cold asphalt to fix potholes. Install and repair Belgian and Hex block. Fill post holes with concrete and cement. Install steel posts. Move, lift and carry heavy objects related to the work site. Excavate. Assist in guardrail repair. Use a jackhammer and compressor. Lay asphalt. Qualification Requirements
  • This vacancy is only open to current permanent Year-Round Associate Park Service Workers or those on leave from the title.
Additional Information:
Selection is based on seniority and ability to perform Heavy Duty tasks.
  • Appointees to this position will receive a prorated Heavy Duty Differential, in addition to base APSW salary.

  • 81106 Minimum Qualifications 1.
A four-year high school diploma or its education equivalent and 6 months of full-time satisfactory paid experience in gardening, grounds or tree maintenance, or in the building, construction or maintenance trades; or 2. One year of full-time experience in gardening, grounds or tree maintenance, or in the building, construction or maintenance trades; or
License Requirement:
Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver License valid in the State of New York. There may be certain age requirements to obtain this license. Employees must maintain the Class B Commercial Driver License during their employment. Preferred Skills 1. Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills. 2. Ability to work independently. 3.
