Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking lawn care and Snow Removal Helper to assist with landscape maintenance and winter snow removal. This is a full time position in the fall and as needed role during the winter and will turn fulltime in the spring again. This role is essential for the quality lawn maintenance we provide and ensuring safety and accessibility during winter months, supporting the overall upkeep of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, basic knowledge of landscaping tools, and the ability to operate various equipment as needed. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in outdoor maintenance and landscaping projects. Responsibilities Assist lawn maintenance and clean up, plowing, snow blowing, shoveling, and clearing walkways, driveways, and parking lots using hand tools and power equipment Support landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, tree trimming, gardening, and lawn care during appropriate seasons Operate and maintain landscaping tools such as hand tools, power tools, and excavators safely and effectively Perform basic irrigation system repair Help with general site cleanup, debris removal, and ensuring outdoor areas are safe and accessible Collaborate with team members on larger landscape projects. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during outdoor work Requirements Knowledge of snow plowing techniques and equipment operation is desirable for winter duties Prior experience or familiarity with snow blowing, lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and hand tools is a plus Ability to operate power tools Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods Basic understanding of horticulture, irrigation systems, or hardscape installation is beneficial Strong work ethic with attention to safety standards and teamwork skills Prior experience in construction or landscape projects will be considered an asset
