At NVS Landscape Services, we handle high-end residential, commercial, and HOA projects across Albany, Schenectady, and Saratoga Counties . We are a year-round operation. During the dirt season, we run two specialized divisions: High-End Maintenance and Advanced Landscape Construction. In the winter, both teams transition into our full-scale Commercial Plowing & Salting operation.

We are currently hiring for two separate, critical leadership positions: Landscape Construction Foreman (

Focus:

Patios, Ponds, Grading, Fencing, Irrigation) Lawn Mowing & Maintenance Foreman (

Focus:

Premium HOA & Residential Maintenance Routes) For both roles, we need independent, self-starting leaders who can take a set of plans or a daily route sheet, gather their crew, and handle the day from start to finish without needing someone holding their hand. If you wait around to be told what to do next, this isn't the right fit. We need problem-solvers who take total ownership of the job site or the storm.

We keep our trucks, machinery, mowers, and snow gear well-maintained so you can run your jobs smoothly. In return, we expect you to treat your crew with respect, keep projects on schedule, and maintain a high standard of safety and quality. Position 1:

Landscape Construction Foreman What You'll Do:

Take complex outdoor builds from initial site prep to final cleanup under your own direction.

Core Skills:

Leading the installation of paver patios, retaining walls, residential fencing, and custom water features (ponds and pondless waterfalls).

Equipment:

Operating mini-excavators and skid steers for grading, drainage fixes, and prepping for hydroseeding. Setting up irrigation systems. Reading blueprints. Position 2:

Lawn Mowing & Maintenance Foreman What You'll Do:

Manage a high-end daily maintenance route, keeping properties in "show-ready" condition.

Core Skills:

Executing precision mowing (straight stripes), string trimming, vertical edging, pruning, and thorough debris blow-down.

Equipment:

Directing a 2-3 person crew using commercial zero-turns (Scag, Exmark) and handling routing software. Performing basic field repairs (sharpening blades, changing belts).

What Both Roles Require Self-Starter Attitude:

Proven ability to work independently, manage your own time, and problem-solve without calling the shop every hour.

Real Experience:

2+ years running a crew in either landscape construction or commercial maintenance.

Winter Operations:

Willingness and experience operating large plow trucks, salters, or heavy equipment during winter snow events (on-call/overnight shifts across our tri-county service area).

Reliability:

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a consistent "on-time" track record.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to work outside in extreme heat or freezing winter conditions and lift up to 80 lbs. Benefits & Perks Good hourly pay with steady overtime opportunities.
