Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Care Worker to join our dynamic landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy lawns and landscapes through a variety of hands-on tasks. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, combined with your technical skills and dedication, will contribute to creating inviting outdoor spaces for our clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticulture while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Duties Operate and maintain lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to ensure pristine turf and landscape conditions Perform landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, edging, and mulching to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as aeration, fertilization, and irrigation system checks to promote healthy growth Use hand tools and machinery like excavators for site preparation, planting beds, or minor construction projects such as hardscape installation Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to ensure safety and landscape health Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, leaves, and snow (seasonally) using snow plowing equipment or manual tools Support general garden and horticulture tasks to foster vibrant plant life and sustainable landscapes Skills Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on lawn care equipment and power tools Extensive experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening practices Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and irrigation system management Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools safely and efficiently Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and safety procedures for working around trees Experience with excavation equipment like mini-excavators for site preparation or construction projects Strong understanding of horticulture principles to promote healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices Ability to perform snow plowing operations during winter months using appropriate machinery Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; attention to detail is essential for quality results Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining outdoor environments Join us in transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful retreats!
