Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated grounds person to join our team this upcoming spring. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care, with the ability to safely and efficiently perform tree trimming and care tasks. This role involves working at heights, operating bucket trucks or spider lifts, and ensuring the health and aesthetics of trees in various environments. Duties Collaborate with your team to ensure cohesive care for gardens and lawns. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Ability to assist with pruning and removing trees in limited drop zones Experience in tree care maintenance or landscaping preferred Valid Ohio Driver's License with a clean driving record (CDL preferred) Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle Ability to work long hours, including Saturdays and on-call shifts Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical job demands Ability to pass a drug screening Reliable transportation to and from shop Qualifications Familiarity with tree maintenance practices. Experience operating chippers and mini skid steer preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential hazards in the work environment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to tree care are advantageous. Pass pre-employment drug test and random drug test Lift heavy objects regularly. Experience running chainsaws on ground safely.
