Job Description
Description The Part-Time Groundskeeper reports to the Director of Grounds and Fleet and is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and appearance of campus grounds and outdoor facilities. This position helps ensure the campus remains clean, safe, and well-maintained throughout the year. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Push mow and trim lawns Mulch shrub beds, flower beds, and fitness trail areas Water lawns, flowers, shrubs, trees, and greenhouse plants as needed Pull weeds and maintain landscaped areas Edge sidewalks and driveways Clean leaves, dirt, trash, and other debris from sidewalks, driveways, and lawns Assist with maintenance of golf greens, tees, collars, and sand traps Clean and maintain grounds equipment and machinery Wash campus vehicles Shovel snow and assist with winter weather cleanup Observe and follow all safety regulations and procedures at all times Qualifications Ability to perform outdoor manual labor in varying weather conditions Ability to operate lawn care and grounds maintenance equipment safely Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Working Conditions Work is performed primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dirt, and physical activity including walking, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Schedule Part-time hours as assigned. Some seasonal flexibility may be required based on operational needs and weather conditions.
