Job Description

Overview In the Grounds Crew position the ideal candidates have previous experience in a similar field and must have experience driving forklifts and tractors. The position is outdoors so candidates must be able to come to work and produce results regardless of outdoor weather conditions. Additionally, the job requires a great deal of often strenuous physical activity therefore employees should have the ability to meet these requirements. Responsibilities Maintenance of the grounds of the arenas. Clean stalls and other grounds areas. Trash collection and sweeping. Responsible for lawn care and snow removal. Completion of special event set up and tear down. Ability to use equipment such as forklifts, tractor, golf cart, lawn mower, snow blowers, etc. For maintenance of the grounds. Maintain or repair using basic tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools. Mix and spray non-restricted weed killer using hand sprayers. Supports departmental maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists. Any other duties assigned by management. Requirements Standing for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, lifting, shoveling, reaching and grabbing. Heavy workloads requiring the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force and the ability to regularly lift 55lbs. Valid driver's license is required with experience operating company vehicles or grounds maintenance equipment preferred. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to work with limited supervision. Excellent attention to safety protocols related to power tool use and landscaping procedures. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with a positive attitude. Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities High School diploma or equivalent Experience running a forklift or tractor Experience on a farm or similar locations is highly preferred Excellent customer service skills, basic mechanical aptitude Valid drivers license required
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
