Job Description

Use your green thumb and your lanscaping artistry to enhance the beauty of our sprawling resort. Your knowledge of the use of lawn equipment, machinery and tools will will ensure the growth and vibrancy of our plants, flowers, lawn, and decorative shrubs
HOA Groundskeeper/Landscaper General Responsibilities:
Remove all trash from grounds, landscaping areas and parking lots on a daily basis. Cut grass and trim shrubs. Remove weeds from grounds. Rake and remove leaves. Water landscaped areas. Remove and replace dead or damaged plants, shrubs and trees. Plant new flowers and shrubs in appropriate seasons. Mulch and maintain landscape beds. Inspect and diagnosis insect and disease problems on trees and shrubs. Dig ditches as needed. Pipe fitting and irrigation system repairs. Maintain grounds equipment in proper working order and keep equipment storage area in a safe and clean condition. Remove snow and ice from all roads, sidewalks and parking lot as needed. Keep work area neat and organized. Conduct self in a professional manner at all times. Maintains safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions. Maintain a good working relationship with all departments. Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Prior landscaping experience preferred. Must be able to operate a lawn-mower, weed and grass trimmer, snow removal equipment and hand tools. Knowledge and use of chemicals and pesticides. Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
Ability to:
Work with minimal supervision. Communicate effectively. Work as part of a team. Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions. Work well under pressure. Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Physical Requirements:
6-8 hours Standing/Walking 3-6 hours Crouching/Bending/Stooping Reaching Grasping 1-3 hours Pushing/Pulling Lifting/Carrying (up to 50 lbs.) Up to 1 hour Sitting Climbing Stairs
