This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine skilled driving with hands-on grounds maintenance, working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, performing tree care and landscape maintenance tasks, and supporting arborist rigging and tree removal projects. If you're passionate about outdoor work, safety, and contributing to beautiful, well-maintained landscapes, this role is perfect for you! Responsibilities Safely operate CDL-certified trucks and vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and personnel to various job sites. Assist with grounds maintenance activities including lawn care, landscape upkeep, plant pruning, and general yard cleanup. Support tree care operations by using bucket trucks for elevated work, performing tree trimming, pruning, and removal with proper arborist rigging techniques. Conduct rigging operations for tree removal or limb disassembly using appropriate arborist tools such as chainsaws and rigging gear. Perform equipment setup and breakdown for landscaping projects, including the use of bucket trucks and other specialized machinery like GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools when needed. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to ensure personal safety and that of team members; maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, lawn care, and general site beautification to support client projects or property upkeep. Requirements Valid CDL license with clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks preferred. Proven outdoor work experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related fields; familiarity with lawn care and landscape maintenance is a plus. Knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, tree removal, and arborist rigging techniques. Ability to operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work; experience with bucket operation is highly desirable. Skilled in the use of chainsaws and other hand or power tools used in tree removal and landscape work. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments; commitment to following safety procedures at all times. Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (the study of trees) is beneficial; familiarity with GIS technology can be advantageous. Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects, perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions, and maintain stamina throughout the day. Pay:
