Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep grounds looking pristine. Operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently to carry out landscaping projects. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health; assist with planting, mulching, and fertilizing. Execute hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, or retaining walls as needed for landscape enhancement. Conduct seasonal tasks like snow plowing or removal during winter months to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe. Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Qualifications Previous outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or groundskeeping is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscape maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, pesticide management, and tree care techniques. Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining landscaped areas effectively. Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials when necessary.
