Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Technician and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your skills in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and equipment operation. You will be responsible for executing a variety of landscaping tasks that enhance the aesthetic appeal and health of our clients' properties. Whether you're trimming trees, installing hardscape features, or managing irrigation systems, your expertise will directly contribute to vibrant, well-kept landscapes that inspire and delight. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal. Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools, mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and maintenance; apply horticultural knowledge to promote plant health. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal while adhering to safety protocols. Install hardscape features such as pathways, retaining walls, or patios to enhance outdoor aesthetics. Follow safety procedures diligently during all tasks, including pesticide management and equipment handling, to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with snow plowing or other seasonal groundskeeping duties as needed to maintain year-round landscape integrity. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is highly preferred. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge related to landscape maintenance equipment and power tools. Familiarity with plant identification, pest control (pesticide management), and horticulture practices. Knowledge of safety protocols related to landscaping activities and equipment operation. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for working effectively within a team and following instructions accurately.
