Job Description
Golf Course Maintenance Crew MemberPosition Summary Florence Country Club is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Golf Course Maintenance Crew Member to help maintain one of the premier golf courses in South Carolina. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in producing quality work, and values consistency, organization, and attention to detail. Successful candidates enjoy following established procedures, learning new skills, and contributing to a team that takes pride in presenting exceptional playing conditions every day. Essential Responsibilities Mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, and other maintained turf areas. Operate and care for golf course maintenance equipment safely and responsibly. Assist with course setup, including hole locations, tee markers, ropes, stakes, and ball washers. Rake bunkers and maintain proper playing conditions. Trim around trees, cart paths, sprinkler heads, and other course features. Assist with irrigation repairs and routine maintenance. Apply fertilizers, topdressing materials, and other products under supervision. Monitor course conditions and report maintenance concerns promptly. Keep maintenance buildings, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Follow all safety procedures and club policies. Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to prepare the golf course each day. Qualifications Positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Ability to follow directions and established procedures. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to learn golf course maintenance practices. Previous golf course or landscaping experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely. Schedule Early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
