Job Description

Duties Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to maintain healthy and attractive grounds. Operate a variety of groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, power trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain athletic fields by aerating, overseeding, and managing turf health to ensure optimal playing conditions. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues related to sprinklers or valves. Conduct landscape maintenance activities including soil preparation, planting flowers or shrubs, and applying pesticides or fertilizers responsibly. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks such as moving soil, mulch, or equipment safely. Inspect grounds regularly for hazards or maintenance needs; perform minor repairs on landscaping tools and equipment. Operate company vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or personnel between job sites. Follow safety guidelines related to power tools and pesticide management; maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. Support seasonal projects such as landscaping upgrades or special event preparations with efficient execution. Requirements Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscape maintenance, or athletic field management preferred. Proficiency with irrigation systems and their troubleshooting is highly desirable. Skilled in the operation of hand tools, power tools—including chainsaws—and grounds maintenance equipment. Knowledge of pesticide application regulations and safe handling practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Familiarity with golf course groundskeeping practices is a plus but not mandatory. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles required. Strong understanding of lawn care techniques, gardening principles, and landscaping best practices. Commitment to safety procedures related to power tool use and equipment maintenance. Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions. This role is integral in ensuring outdoor spaces are safe, functional, and visually appealing.
