Landscaping Crew Member — $20-$30/hr | Career Growth Wintergreen Services — Sioux Falls, SD Wintergreen Services is looking for a hard-working, dependable Landscaping Crew Member to join our growing team. This isn't a job where we're looking for someone to simply show up, do the bare minimum, and go home. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up when it's hot, works hard when the job gets difficult, and wants to become better at what they do. What You'll Do Perform a wide variety of landscaping and lawn-care work Install mulch, rock, plants, edging, and other landscape materials Perform cleanups, mowing, trimming, edging, and general property maintenance Assist with paver and hardscape projects Load and unload equipment and materials Drive company vehicles and trailers when needed Pick up materials from local supply yards Read and follow detailed job scopes through Jobber Work independently on smaller projects once trained Keep jobsites clean, organized, and completed to a high standard Communicate professionally with customers Learn to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively Identify problems and help find solutions instead of waiting to be told every step Take responsibility for your work and learn from mistakes What We're Looking For The most important thing is character and work ethic . Landscaping experience is a plus, but it is not required for the right person. We're looking for someone who: Shows up on time and can be counted on Works hard even when the weather is hot and the work isn't easy Takes pride in doing things correctly Can work independently after being trained Takes direction and learns quickly Thinks ahead instead of waiting to be told every little thing Takes responsibility when they make a mistake Has a positive attitude and enjoys working with a crew Can joke around, have fun, and still get the work done Wants to learn new skills and become more valuable Is comfortable doing physical work throughout the day We can teach you landscaping. We can't teach you to care about the work. If you have construction, lawn care, landscaping, or other hands-on experience, that's a plus. But we would much rather hire someone with a great attitude and strong work ethic who is willing to learn than someone with years of experience who doesn't care. Experience & Requirements 18+ preferred Valid driver's license required Reasonably clean driving record Able to lift at least 50 lbs Comfortable working outside in heat, cold, rain, and other conditions Landscaping, construction, or equipment experience is a plus, but attitude and work ethic matter more than experience No CDL required All necessary equipment and tools are provided Pay & Career Growth $20-$30/hr depending on experience, ability, and responsibility. We care more about what you can do and how you work than how many years you've been in landscaping. Raises are based on performance. As you become more skilled, independent, and valuable to the company, your pay can increase. You may start as a crew member and eventually take on responsibilities such as: Crew Member → Skilled Crew Member → Independent Job Responsibilities → Crew Lead We don't expect everyone to become a manager. If you love doing great work, being part of a good crew, and going home at the end of the day, that's completely fine. This is a full-time seasonal position during the landscaping season, with the opportunity to continue into winter snow removal.
