Landscape Technician Employment Type:
Full-time The Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and outdoor spaces. This role performs routine landscaping, groundskeeping, planting, irrigation, and general property maintenance while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Mow, edge, trim, and fertilize lawns. Plant, prune, trim, and remove trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation. Prepare soil, install plants, and maintain garden beds. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters, and hand tools. Install, repair, and maintain irrigation and sprinkler systems. Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other treatments in accordance with safety regulations. Remove leaves, branches, weeds, litter, and other debris from outdoor areas. Install and maintain hardscape features such as pathways, edging, mulch, gravel, and decorative elements. Follow work schedules, plans, and instructions from supervisors. Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in good condition. Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures, and environmental regulations. Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, gardening, or horticultural experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic knowledge of plants, soil preparation, irrigation, and lawn care. Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and equipment. Valid driver's license may be required. Pesticide or chemical application certification is an advantage. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Good communication and customer service skills. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to follow workplace safety procedures when using tools, machinery, and chemicals. Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly wage or salary. Paid time off and holidays.
