Job Description
Job Summary Immediate Opening! Love working outdoors? Golfing? Being part of a team-oriented fun crew? We have immediate openings and are growing our team! Golf course maintenance experience preferred! Valleybrook Golf & Country Club is looking for dependable crew members who have landscaping and groundskeeping experience or are motivated to learn new skills and quickly get to work. A typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM and one weekend morning. The Grounds Crew is responsible for maintaining the golf course grounds, including the fairways, greens, tees, and landscaping. This role ensures the course is kept in excellent condition for golfers and other members, working with a team to provide a high-quality golfing experience. Duties Maintain and care for all areas of the golf course, including fairways, greens, tees, bunkers, roughs, as well as around the clubhouse as needed. Mow grass, trim edges, and perform other landscaping duties to ensure the course is aesthetically pleasing and playable. Maintain equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems. Water plants, trees, and grass to maintain healthy and consistent course conditions. Perform general landscaping duties such as planting, mulching, and pruning. Clean and maintain course features like sand traps, water hazards, and cart paths. Assist in the setup of the course for daily play, including setting tee markers, flags, and other items. Monitor and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of the course. Assist with aerating, fertilizing, and pest control to keep the course in optimal condition. Work closely with other team members to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Help with the maintenance and repair of course facilities, such as carts, storage buildings, and other structures, including repairs, painting, troubleshooting, etc. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating equipment and performing tasks. Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring a pleasant golfing experience for members and guests. Qualifications Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar work is preferred, but not required. Ability to operate lawnmowers, tractors, and other groundskeeping equipment. Basic knowledge of plants, trees, and turf care. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods. Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Work Environment Outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions. Physically demanding role that requires stamina and attention to detail. Team-oriented, with regular interaction with other grounds crew members and golf course management.
