Description:

The Landscaper will have the privilege of having influence over any and all Landscaping duties carried out at Southall. Southall offers a unique change to provide service for one property year-round and continually grow with the same team. Responsibilities Southall offers the opportunity to work in a variety of different settings on our 325-acre campus: 30 acres of native flower and grass fields and 5.5 miles of hiking trails Riparian management of 7-acre pond 10 acres of Silvo pasture for rotational animal grazing Primary duties are property maintenance including lawn mowing and trimming. Work with management in the landscape and planting process. Participate in all aspects of native flower and land management. Create and practice non-chemical pest and weed control techniques. Execute and create patterned mowing plans on a cool season grass canvas. Assist in seeding and fertilizing in cooperation with management, including planting, insect and weed control. Follow and enforce safety and sanitation processes for accident prevention. Work with landscape manager in landscaping equipment preventive maintenance on a daily, weekly and annual basis. Work within the seasonal landscape planning as directed by management. Assist in other areas and projects as needed.
Requirements:
Experience operating landscaping equipment including mowers and trimmers. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times a day. Professional lawn maintenance experience is required. Irrigation experience is a plus. Experience with low voltage lighting is a plus. Other varied skill sets are a plus. Ability to work well independently or with a team. Bilingual is a plus. Valid driver's license Be available to work Saturdays if and when needed.
