Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Groundskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves performing a variety of landscaping, turf management, and grounds maintenance tasks to ensure pristine athletic fields, golf courses, parks, or corporate grounds. You will be responsible for executing routine upkeep, operating specialized equipment, and implementing landscape enhancement projects with precision and enthusiasm. Responsibilities Maintai landscaped areas through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy turf growth. Operate ground maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, power trimmers, blowers. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, trees; pruning; mulching; and weed control to enhance aesthetic appeal. Conduct regular inspections of grounds for hazards or damage; perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials like soil, mulch, or equipment parts. Moving furniture as rerquested by department and tearing down campus events. Skills Experience with landscape maintenance including gardening practices and horticulture principles. Skilled in the operation of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners as well as power tools like chainsaws and trimmers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper manual handling techniques. Competence in operating company vehicles and groundskeeping equipment with an emphasis on safety protocols. Knowledge of lawn care practices including fertilization, aeration, seeding, and mowing schedules. Understanding of power tool safety standards to prevent accidents during routine maintenance tasks.
