Job Description Tree Groundsperson / Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician We are seeking a motivated Tree Groundsperson / Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician to join our team. This position requires prior experience in Plant Health Care , including the identification of tree and shrub health concerns, treatment applications, and monitoring plant health programs. When PHC work is not scheduled, this individual will work alongside our tree crew as a Groundsperson, supporting daily tree care operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform Plant Health Care services including fertilization, pest and disease management, soil treatments, and tree/shrub health inspections. Identify common tree and shrub pests, diseases, and environmental stressors. Apply PHC treatments safely and according to company and regulatory guidelines. Maintain accurate treatment and service records. Assist tree crews with ground operations, including brush chipping, debris cleanup, rigging support, and job site safety. Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
Previous Plant Health Care experience is required. Knowledge of tree and shrub identification, pests, diseases, and treatment methods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred. Ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.
