A Landscaping Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering for landscapes. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, programming irrigation controllers, and working with clients to achieve efficient water management solutions. Prior experience in irrigation or landscaping is preferred.

Monday-Friday, with occasional

Saturdays Location:

Abilene, TX Key Responsibilities:

Install, test, and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip systems, and timers. Inspect and troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions. Perform repairs and replacements of pipes, valves, controllers, and other system components. Program and adjust irrigation controllers to ensure efficient water usage. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements:

Ability to clearly document inspection findings and recommended repairs. Comfortable using smartphones and tablets, as daily work orders, photographs, notes, timekeeping, and other documentation are completed electronically. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently. Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including lifting, digging, bending, and working in wet or muddy areas. Safe driving record and Active & Valid Driver's License required (in order to operate a company vehicle). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients. Legal authorization to work in the United States Basic knowledge of irrigation system installation, setup, and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to properly program irrigation controllers. Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation system issues. Knowledge of valves, wiring, controllers, sprinkler heads, rotors, drip systems, lateral lines, and mainlines. Knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and installation techniques. Experience with tools and equipment used for irrigation work. Knowledge of irrigation clocks, adjusting/repairing irrigation heads, sensors, valve repair, and lateral & mainline repairs.
