This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing your skills in landscaping, gardening, and maintenance to create safe, beautiful, and functional sports environments. Your hands-on work will directly contribute to the enjoyment and safety of community sports facilities, making a positive impact on athletes and spectators alike. Duties Assist in the construction, renovation, and ongoing maintenance of athletic fields, including installing or repairing turf, fencing, and related infrastructure. Operate power tools and hand tools safely to perform tasks such as leveling soil, planting grass or shrubs, and installing irrigation systems. Maintain landscaping elements by mowing lawns, trimming bushes, planting new greenery, and ensuring healthy growth through proper horticultural practices. Support irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure optimal watering schedules for field health. Conduct routine landscape maintenance tasks including fertilizing, aerating soil, and weed control to keep fields in prime condition. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to turf quality or landscape features and implement effective solutions. Follow safety protocols diligently during all activities to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others. Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping, gardening, or turf management is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools including trimmers and drills safely and effectively. Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques is advantageous. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor throughout the day. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills related to horticulture and turf care. Attention to detail when performing maintenance tasks such as mowing or planting to ensure high-quality results. Join us in creating outstanding athletic environments!
