To be responsible for the care and maintenance of outdoor spaces, such as yards, campuses, and all DCU properties and or any properties that are maintained by DCU to ensure that these areas remain visually appealing, safe, and functional.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Pay special attention to the needs of the owner's properties as these properties' needs will supersede the needs of any other responsibilities that are listed below. Landscape maintenance includes mowing, trimming, cutting/split trees, yard/fence/pest spraying and debris removal. Garbage and waste removal from needed properties to DCU main. Properly maintain and service all Low Places equipment and tools and report when it's defective and needs repairs or service. Fill fish/deer feeders and maintain adequate feed inventory. To help with the Maintenance crew on special projects and to be inserted into DCU production when the weather does not allow work to be done outside, and no equipment servicing needs to be done. To maintain all well houses in cold months. Required Skills/Abilities Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Be able to repetitively use small hand tools, mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, tractors, skid steers (and associated attachments) proficiently.
Education and Experience:
At least 2 years relative experience
Physical Requirements:
Be able to stand all shift, if needed. Prolonged periods of lifting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to endure extreme climate conditions.
