Immediately Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Maintain safe and attractive grounds and landscaping for the district.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Must have a valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Ability to read and understand written instructions Ability to communicate (verbally) Ability to operate tractor and landscaping equipment Ability to operate riding or power mower, power tools, and hand tools Plant shrubs, trees, and flowers. Prune trees and shrubs. Spray for weeds and insects using unrestricted chemicals as required. Operate large power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities Operate pickup trucks, flat rack trucks, and dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal Performs minor maintenance and repair on equipment Use of power equipment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching Work outside and inside, with exposure to all types of weather and noise.
