Position Summary:

Houston Oaks is excited to welcome a passionate individual to our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in creating memorable experiences for our Membership while nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment rooted in integrity, community, and harmony. Your responsibilities will include assisting the golf course by operating light equipment and performing routing groundskeeping tasks to uphold standards, all aimed at fostering connections and ensuring our team thrives together in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members. Operate light motorized golf course equipment. Operate greens mowers and triplex tee/approach mowers. Perform edging of cart paths and bunkers. Operate weedeaters, string trimmers, blowers, and hand tools. Trim trees and edges bunker areas. Move tee markers. Rake bunkers using bunker machines and hand tools. Follow safety protocols. Any other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. A genuine desire to work as part of a team and contribute positively to our workplace culture. Must follow all safety protocols, including the use of protective gear (gloves, googles, etc). Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.

Working Conditions:

You will be working in variable outdoor temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold). You may encounter chemicals, dust and/or mites, but we ensure a safe and supportive environment You may experience variable noise levels.

Physical Requirements:

Standing, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, kneeling, pulling, pushing, and twisting for most of the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor without assistance. Capable of standing, walking and working for extended periods.
