Maintenance and Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and visually appealing outdoor spaces while performing general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility and grounds operate smoothly.
Job Title:
 Maintenance and Groundskeeper Responsibilities Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas by mowing, trimming, edging, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, and applying fertilizers or mulch Remove weeds, debris, and trash from outdoor areas to ensure cleanliness and safety Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and snow removal tools Inspect grounds and outdoor facilities for maintenance needs, including irrigation systems, fences, walkways, and drainage issues Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing outdoor furniture, fountains, gates, or other structures Assist with seasonal tasks, including snow removal, leaf raking, and winterizing plants Collaborate with facility management and other staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and special projects Train or supervise junior staff in proper landscaping techniques and safety protocols when applicable Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment Required Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, and grounds maintenance practices Ability to operate hand and power tools safely, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and snow removal equipment. Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions Basic understanding of irrigation systems, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for multi-site properties Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance is preferred but not always required; training may be provided Work Environment Primarily outdoor work, often physically demanding and exposed to varying weather conditions May involve interaction with property owners, staff, or visitors, requiring good communication and customer service skills Reporting typically to a
