Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep grounds vibrant and healthy Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues with irrigation equipment Maintain athletic fields by aerating, overseeding, and applying turf treatments to promote optimal playing conditions Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, trimmers, chainsaws, and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects Conduct equipment maintenance and safety checks on groundskeeping machinery and power tools to ensure reliable operation Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of soil, mulch, or equipment while adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury Apply pesticides or herbicides following safety protocols for pest management and weed control in landscaped areas Operate company vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or team members between work sites Assist with gardening and horticultural activities to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces Follow safety procedures related to power tool use and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe working environment Experience Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf management is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance practices, and athletic field care is advantageous Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and equipment maintenance enhances your effectiveness in this role Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique is essential Understanding of pesticide management and safety procedures is a plus Strong work ethic with attention to detail; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Willingness to learn new skills related to horticulture and grounds maintenance Embark on a rewarding journey maintaining pristine outdoor environments!
