Overview Safe operation of standard company vehicles and trailers (non-CDL, under 26,000 lbs. GVWR) to transport yard waste, limbs, and brush from client properties to disposal sites. While a mechanical loader is the primary tool for moving large brush, this role requires immediate transition to manual loading for oversized, delicate, or tight-space materials. This position strictly requires a valid standard driver's license , a clean driving record, and constant adherence to safety protocols.
Duties Driver's License:
Maintain a valid standard driver's license and an insurable driving record. Operate trucks and trailers safely, adjusting speed for weather and heavy cargo weights. Utilize a ground spotter every time you back up a truck and trailer. Secure parked vehicles on-site using parking brakes, wheel chocks, and traffic cones. Follow all safety procedures diligently during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries Follow dump site rules carefully when unloading brush at recycling or disposal facilities. Distribute the brush weight evenly inside the trailer to prevent dangerous swaying. Secure and tarp 100% of every load completely before driving on public roads. Follow all safety guidelines and unloading instructions at the disposal or recycling dump site. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, horticulture, or arboriculture preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided Experience operating bucket trucks or similar aerial lift equipment is a plus Knowledge safety protocols is highly desirable Hands-on experience with chainsaws, lawn equipment, or other landscaping tools preferred
