Job Summary Join our dynamic Grounds Crew team and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and health of our outdoor spaces! As a Grounds Crew Member, you will be responsible for performing landscape maintenance, lawn care, and gardening tasks that keep our grounds vibrant and inviting. This energetic position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, develop your horticulture skills, and contribute to creating welcoming environments for visitors and staff alike. Your dedication will ensure our landscapes remain lush, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing all year round. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming to keep grounds tidy and attractive. Assist with irrigation system setup, inspection, and repairs to ensure optimal watering of plants and lawns. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, digging, aerating, and other gardening activities. Maintain flower beds, shrubbery, trees, and lawns through regular care routines such as fertilizing and weed control. Support seasonal planting projects by planting flowers, shrubs, or trees according to landscape plans. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas needing repair or additional maintenance. Follow safety protocols when operating equipment or handling chemicals to ensure a safe work environment. Experience Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant care, soil health, and pest management is a plus. Familiarity with irrigation systems, lawn care techniques, and landscape maintenance equipment is advantageous. Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners as well as power tools like trimmers or blowers safely. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently in outdoor conditions. Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
