Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Trimmer/Groundsperson and become a vital part of maintaining healthy, beautiful urban and rural landscapes. In this energetic role, you will assist with tree care operations, ensuring safety and precision while working outdoors in various weather conditions. Your expertise will help enhance the safety, aesthetics, and health of trees and surrounding landscapes, contributing to community beautification and environmental sustainability. You will also assist with tree removal projects This paid position offers opportunities to develop your skills in arboriculture, landscape maintenance, and outdoor work. Responsibilities Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal using industry-standard techniques to promote tree health and safety. Operate equipment such as tractor with grapple, chainsaws, and rigging gear safely and efficiently under supervision. Support arborists with rigging techniques for complex tree removals or pruning projects. Conduct tree service tasks including pruning trees, feeding chipper, assisting with raking and blowing off surfaces and loading rakings into trailer. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure team safety. Maintain clean work sites by removing debris, trimming branches, and ensuring equipment is properly stored after use. Requirements Prior outdoor work experience or a strong interest in horticulture, arboriculture, or landscaping. Familiarity with tree care practices such as pruning, trimming, and tree removal techniques. Ability to operate equipment including chainsaws, and tractors/loaders safely. Understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation. Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and work at heights when necessary. You must have your own transportation and a valid drivers license Preferred qualifications include landscape maintenance knowledge, growing experience in horticulture or landscaping fields, and familiarity with safety standards for outdoor work environments.
