Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Lawn Care Worker to join our outdoor maintenance team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy landscapes through a variety of groundskeeping tasks. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, combined with your attention to detail and knowledge of landscape maintenance, will help create inviting and well-kept outdoor spaces. Responsibilities Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to mow lawns, edge borders, and clear debris efficiently. Maintain landscape features by planting, pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, and managing flower beds. Assist with irrigation system installation, inspection, and repairs to ensure optimal watering of plants and turf. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to promote healthy plant growth and pest control. Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify issues such as disease or damage and report necessary repairs or adjustments. Follow safety procedures diligently while operating equipment and handling chemicals to ensure a safe work environment. Requirements Previous outdoor work experience or grounds maintenance background preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and basic repairs. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, planting, pruning, and hardscape upkeep. Ability to identify various plants, trees, and pests for effective plant care management. Knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, and horticulture principles is a plus. Comfortable using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools safely. Strong adherence to safety protocols with a focus on safe equipment operation and chemical handling.
