What You Will Be Doing:
Our professionals are the most important resource in our service commitment to our customers. We nurture a progressive environment where challenging, empowered, and purposeful work is celebrated. The Parks Technician maintains and improves city park land and ensures that parks are ready for public use. This is accomplished by using city equipment to accomplish daily tasks and objectives, including trash duty, maintenance of playgrounds, tennis facilities, community center, dog park, and mowing and trimming of grounds and plants. Additional duties include preparation of ball fields, cleaning restrooms and concession stands, and assistance with special events and projects. Perform various maintenance and repair activities for city parks and recreation facilities by mowing, landscaping, weed eating, trimming trees and shrubbery, raking leaves, removing trash, cleaning restrooms, and performing other manual tasks as assigned.

Prepare athletic fields for play by cleaning out playing areas, marking fields, painting lines and setting up goals.

Maintain vehicles and equipment by performing routine maintenance.

Deliver and set-up materials for meetings and special events, set up facilities, and deliver equipment to storage.

What You Bring To Us:
Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines. Level of knowledge equivalent to less than high school or equivalency. Valid Texas Driver's License. The schedule for this position is primarily Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. May require overtime and/or some evenings, weekends, and holidays/events. Applications will be accepted until June 22, 2026.
