Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lawn Care Crew Leader to spearhead our outdoor maintenance teams. In this vital role, you will lead crew members in delivering top-quality landscaping, lawn care, and grounds maintenance services. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of lawn care technicians and landscapers on daily tasks and long-term projects. Oversee the execution of lawn care routines such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain pristine grounds. Manage landscape maintenance activities including planting, pruning, shrubbery care, and seasonal cleanups. Coordinate and supervise construction projects related to landscaping or hardscape installations. Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, irrigation systems, and trucks. Ensure proper plant identification for health assessments and pest management; implement horticultural best practices. Supervise irrigation management tasks such as system inspections, repairs, and adjustments to optimize water efficiency. Maintain safety standards across all outdoor work activities; conduct regular safety briefings with team members. Manage crew schedules, assign tasks effectively, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines. Communicate with clients or project managers regarding project status or specific landscape needs. Qualifications Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or groundskeeping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles. Supervising or team management experience in outdoor or landscaping environments. Knowledge of plant identification, pruning techniques, and plant health diagnostics. Skilled in operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, irrigation tools, and company vehicles. Construction experience related to outdoor projects like hardscape installation or site preparation is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse crew effectively. Familiarity with irrigation systems operation and troubleshooting for efficient water use. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; physically capable of performing manual labor for extended periods. Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members and clients alike. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely is required.
