Job Description
Ready to Start Your Career with the City of Temple? Summary Maintenance Worker, under the general supervision of the Golf Superintendent, maintains the golf course and associated facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, sod work, seeding, and watering for greens, parks, and assigned facilities Maintains trees and planting areas, which involves planting, pruning, pest control, fertilizing, and weed and vegetation removal as needed Operates and maintains assigned irrigation systems and ornamental fountains Ensures cleanliness of grounds by removing ground litter and properly disposing of trash from containers on a timely schedule Performs janitorial services to clean and maintain park restrooms Completes required daily paperwork for the department Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of experience in maintenance or operating related equipment Certifications and Licenses Valid driver's license Thank you for your interest in the position.
