Starting at $20.00/hour Build Landscapes That Matter We're looking for hardworking, dependable individuals to join the Installation Team at Barton Springs Nursery's Design Studio. This is more than landscaping—it's the craft of creating beautiful, functional, and ecologically meaningful outdoor spaces. Our team installs thoughtful, design-forward landscapes rooted in native and adapted plants that thrive in Central Texas. In addition to landscape installations, our team also assists with interior plant installations for homes and businesses, creating living environments both indoors and out. During periods when installations are not scheduled, team members may also support operations at Barton Springs Nursery, working alongside our plant experts and helping maintain one of Austin's most beloved nurseries. What You'll Do Dig, plant, and install trees, shrubs, grasses, perennials, and groundcovers Prepare planting areas with soil, mulch, compost, and amendments Assist with irrigation installation and site preparation Install interior potted plant displays and container gardens Operate landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism on job sites Handle and install plant material with care and attention to detail Support nursery operations during unscheduled installation days Work closely with designers, project managers, and fellow crew members to deliver exceptional results What We're Looking For Landscaping experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right person Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Punctual, respectful, and detail-oriented Interest in plants, gardening, landscaping, or design is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working on uneven terrain and in physically demanding conditions Ability to bend, kneel, dig, carry, and remain active throughout the workday Schedule Full-time and part-time opportunities available Overtime opportunities during peak seasons What We Offer The opportunity to be part of a respected and growing design-build team Hands-on experience creating beautiful landscapes throughout Austin Exposure to landscape design, horticulture, ecology, and installation practices Health insurance for eligible full-time employees 401(k) matching Employee discount A positive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth within the company If you're someone who enjoys working with your hands, being outdoors, learning about plants, and contributing to something beautiful, we'd love to hear from you.
