Responsibilities Maintain and enhance golf course landscapes through mowing, trimming, planting, and gardening to promote healthy turf and vibrant scenery. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular system inspections for efficient water use. Conduct pest management activities using pesticides responsibly and in accordance with safety guidelines to protect turf health. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks for landscape materials, equipment setup, and debris removal across the course. Assist with athletic field groundskeeping tasks when needed, including soil aeration, fertilization, and aerating greens or fairways. Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, pesticide applications, and groundskeeping activities to support operational efficiency and compliance. Requirements Proven experience with landscape maintenance, golf course groundskeeping or athletic field groundskeeping is preferred. Knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, and horticulture practices essential for effective course care. Ability to operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment safely including power tools, lawn care machinery, chainsaws, and company vehicles. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor activity in various weather conditions. Familiarity with power tool safety protocols and routine equipment maintenance procedures. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to landscape upkeep and turf health management. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar equipment is advantageous.
