Job Description

Gardener Job Description Wage :

$14-16/hour

DOE Shift :

30-39 hours per week.

Regular season:

7am-3:30pm; Summer hours: 6am-2:30pm. Some Saturdays and evenings may be required.

Responsibilities :

General gardening, weeding, flower deadheading, planting, pruning, cultivating and topdressing of flower and shrub beds. Seasonal flower planting and removal along with pruning of perennials and ornamental grasses. Keep garden beautiful by sweeping paths, collecting and emptying garbage, and raking. Install holiday lights and other seasonal displays.. Exemplify Thanksgiving Point?s Mission and Values. Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Requirements :

Hard working with the ability to understand and carry out directions. Manages time effectively and is productive without direct supervision. Able to work in all types of weather conditions. Has an eye for detail with specific attention to gardening standards. Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, kneel, stand for long periods of time. 1-2 years of gardening experience preferred but not required. Must pass a background check. Be at least 16 years old.
