Full Job Description Fine Gardening Assistant Description:

The Fine Gardening Assistant requires minimal fine gardening experience however, they must have the desire to learn and perform all aspects of fine gardening to include procurement of plants, planning work, plant layout, installing annuals and perennials, deadheading plants, customer service, training, etc. The Fine Gardening Assistant must also have a positive, "can do" attitude, be an eager learner, be conscious of safety requirements, work effectively as a team member, dress appropriately, be punctual, and follow all instructions.

Fine Gardening Manager Requirements:

No previous landscape experience needed. Have a clean criminal record. Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility. Drivers license and insurable to drive company truck. Able to lift 35 pounds without assistance. Have reliable transportation. Eager to learn. Able to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner. Is a willing learner who seeks to master the basic skills of fine gardening. Able to communicate with supervisor in a timely and thorough manner. Completes assigned tasks efficiently, thoroughly, and per company production rates. Able to use basic tools safely and properly: shovel, grading rake, spade, hoe, wheelbarrow, etc.

Responsibilities:

Follows all instructions given by the Fine Gardening Manager. Thoroughly understands and complies with company policy and safety manual. Properly and safely operates equipment. Works in a safe manner and reports any/all unsafe conditions to FG Manager. Reports to work on time, in uniform and wearing the appropriate footwear.

Seasonal Hours:

March 15 - October 15 Monday through Thursday 7am-5:30pm
