The opportunity Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Groundskeeper to join our team at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the appearance and cleanliness of the grounds adhere to company standards. Mow lawn using hand, power, or riding mower and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls Landscape by planting and watering flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes Sweep walkway of debris and install lawn furniture Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed Trim shrubs and pull weeds Stock firewood to guest rooms Assist maintenance staff with task as needed This position requires driving a company vehicle on a daily basis Empty Trash Bins More about you Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in general maintenance or repair for commercial facility required No high school diploma or GED required Possess and maintain a valid driver's license Physical requirements Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint Ability to use ladders and perform various types of manual labor Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally Exposed to outdoor weather conditions in all seasons Shift details
