As a Ground Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of landscaping, groundskeeping, and equipment operation tasks to uphold the aesthetic and safety standards of our outdoor environments. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and edging to maintain healthy and attractive grounds. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal while adhering to safety protocols. Apply pesticides and fertilizers responsibly following all safety guidelines to promote healthy plant growth. Execute hardscape projects such as installing or repairing pathways, retaining walls, or other outdoor structures. Maintain safety standards by following all safety protocols during outdoor work and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping practices. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely. Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, aeration, and fertilization. Experience with tree care activities like trimming and pruning; construction experience is a plus. Ability to follow detailed safety protocols consistently while working outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining equipment logs and work records.
