Equipment & Grounds Caretaker Full-Time | Year-Round $50,000 to $60,000 annually, based on experience Brattleboro, VT & West Chesterfield, NH We are looking for a dependable, hands-on person to join our family-owned businesses in a full-time, year-round maintenance role. This is not strictly a landscaping position. The work will vary throughout the year and across our properties and businesses. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, completing projects, and learning new skills. The right person will have a variety of responsibilities, including property maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, equipment care, and general projects. Responsibilities Responsibilities will vary by season and may include: Mowing, trimming, pruning, mulching, planting, and general landscaping Completing landscaping and property-improvement projects Spring and fall property cleanups Brush clearing and general grounds maintenance Snow plowing and snow removal at company-owned properties Operating skid steers, loaders, trucks, and other equipment Pressure washing storage containers Pressure washing and cleaning rental equipment Greasing equipment and assisting with basic preventative maintenance Maintaining parking areas, driveways, and outdoor spaces Assisting with property repairs and improvement projects Learning basic handyman, carpentry, and property-maintenance skills alongside an experienced member of our team General maintenance and miscellaneous projects as needed across our properties and businesses No two weeks will necessarily look the same. During the warmer months, much of the work will focus on landscaping, property projects, and equipment maintenance. During the winter, snow removal will become a significant part of the position, along with indoor and outdoor maintenance projects. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Dependable and able to work independently Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons Mechanically inclined Comfortable around trucks and heavy equipment Willing to learn new skills Able to recognize when something needs attention and take initiative Capable of handling a physically active job Organized and respectful of company equipment and property Experience in landscaping, property maintenance, snow removal, equipment operation, or a related field is required. Experience operating skid steers, loaders, or plow trucks is strongly preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Schedule & Compensation This is a full-time, year-round salaried position . Compensation is $50,000 to $60,000 annually , depending on experience and capabilities. Health insurance is not provided. Paid time off and paid holidays. 401K with company match. Snowstorms may occasionally require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or extended hours.
