Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves performing a variety of groundskeeping, landscaping, and maintenance tasks to ensure landscapes are healthy, safe, and visually appealing. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, utilizing your hands-on skills and knowledge of horticulture to support our landscape projects. Duties Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, edging beds, and weeding Operate groundskeeping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, and excavators safely and efficiently Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to promote healthy plant growth while protecting the environment Conduct groundskeeping activities like snow plowing during winter months and ensuring outdoor spaces are safe and accessible Identify plants and troubleshoot landscape issues using horticultural knowledge; assist with tree care and pruning projects Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents during equipment operation or outdoor work activities Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related fields preferred Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy equipment such as excavators or tree trimmers is highly desirable Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, planting, pruning, hardscape installation, and snow removal Ability to identify various plants and trees; familiarity with pesticide management is a plus Knowledge of safety protocols related to equipment operation and outdoor work environments Excellent physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods Construction experience or background in gardening or horticulture is beneficial Join us in transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant landscapes!
