Property Groundskeeper & Community Cleaner Location:
Tenino, Rainier & Yelm, WA Employment Type:
Full-Time Pay:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour (DOE) Position Summary Prime Locations, Inc. is seeking a dependable, energetic, and self-motivated Property Groundskeeper & Community Cleaner to help maintain the beauty, cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of multiple apartment communities located in Tenino, Rainier, and Yelm. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors, takes pride in creating clean and attractive living environments, and enjoys hands-on work. You'll play an important role in ensuring our communities remain welcoming for current and future residents by performing groundskeeping, landscaping, cleaning, and light maintenance tasks. Essential ResponsibilitiesCommunity Cleaning Clean and prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents. Maintain the cleanliness of laundry rooms, hallways, stairwells, breezeways, entryways, and other common areas. Clean community amenities and shared spaces. Empty trash receptacles and maintain waste collection areas. Remove litter, debris, and pet waste throughout each property. Groundskeeping & Landscaping Mow lawns, edge sidewalks, trim shrubs, and assist with seasonal landscaping. Plant flowers, maintain landscape beds, and care for trees and shrubs. Water plants and landscaping using irrigation systems as directed. Operate landscaping equipment including lawn mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other power tools safely and efficiently. Sweep sidewalks, breezeways, parking lots, curbs, and other walking areas. Help maintain hardscape features including walkways, patios, and retaining walls. Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather when necessary. Apply fertilizers or pesticides following company safety procedures when assigned. Maintain the overall curb appeal of each community. Property Maintenance Support Assist the Maintenance Technician with general property upkeep. Perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned. Help prepare apartments for move-ins. Conduct routine inspections of the property and promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or property damage. Complete special projects assigned by the Property Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, janitorial services, apartment maintenance, or related outdoor work is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining attractive communities. Basic mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools preferred. Experience operating or troubleshooting irrigation systems is a plus. Knowledge of plants, landscaping, and horticulture is beneficial. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred. Reliable transportation to travel between the Tenino, Rainier, and Yelm communities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work including walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, mowing, and working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
